Sheet Music FAQ

What is a site license?
When you purchase a site license, you are purchasing the rights (a license agreement) to duplicate as many copies as needed for your ensemble(s) at a single institution (school, church, etc.). This site license can not be loaned, sold, shared or transferred to any other institution. The site license option is ideal for large choirs, or combined choirs at a single organization.

As a former music educator in a high poverty area, finding the funding for sheet music was a constant challenge in a program with growing enrollment and a shrinking budget. The site license is the option I wished I had then; a flat fee to legally perform a work.

When you purchase the site license, include a note with the following:

Director's Name
School or Institution Name
School or Institution Address (if different from billing address)

If this information isn't included at the time of purchase, you'll receive a follow up email requesting this information. Once provided, you'll receive a signed copy license granting permission to photocopy the score for your institution.
Can I share my digital sheet music with another school?
No. A license allows a single institution or performance organization to perform a given title. Performing a title without a license is breaking copyright law.
Can I purchase a site license for an honor choir?
Yes, the honor choir organizer may make a single purchase by using the online order form, indicating the name, date, and number of singers in the honor choir. For digital copies licensed by number of singers, honor choir pricing is $1.50 per singer, beginning at 50 singers.

Alternatively, each participating school may purchase printed scores or a standard site-license, but a standard site-license can not be shared among participating schools.
How do I receive my sheet music?
An instant download link will be made available upon your purchase. A copy license will be e-mailed to you within approximately 2 business days.
How do I pay with a check?
Please request an invoice using the order form.
How do I pay with a purchase order?
Please use the order form and indicate your purchase order number on the form. If purchasing a site license, your digital sheet music will be e-mailed within 48 hours of purchase.
Do you work with retailers?
Absolutely. I am proud to be in partnership with over 50 retailers internationally. Potential retailers should contact Ryan directly to set up ordering and payment. Please indicate your preferred payment method (invoice, purchase order, or credit card).
What is the format of printed scores?
Printed scores are folded and bound on 11x17 sheets (8.5 x 11 format) in 28 / 70 lb text, with a color printed cover. Printed scores are typically shipped within 48 hours of purchase.
Do you accept commissions?
Absolutely! There is nothing more exciting than forming a partnership to bring a new work into the world. Please see the commissions page for more information.
Do you clinic with choirs performing your music?
Yes! Please see the clinics page for more information.
What are your shipping options?
Orders are typically shipped within 24 hours, and sent via FedEx, UPS or USPS. Shipping is a flat fee based on the number of copies ordered, determined by weight.
What are the penalties for violating copyright law?
If you are found to be making illegal copies of copyrighted works, you can face fines of $750 to $30,000 (statutory damages) and if the court finds willfulness, up to $150,000 per copyright infringement. If willful infringement for commercial advantage and private financial gain is proven, fines can increase up to $250,000 and/or 5 years imprisonment or both. Please be honest and support independent music publishing - digital site licenses makes it easier than ever to do so!
Do you sell your band sheet music?
Currently, all band works are published through Wingert Jones and available through all major retailers, including JWPepper.
